Netflix Shows to Look Forward to in 2017

The 2017 Netflix is only getting started and already we have some things to be excited about.

Since January 1, Netflix has already added new original series such as One Day at a Time, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and The Santa Clarita Diet. Others have also been added including comedy specials and tri-weekly new episodes of Chelsea. Can’t beat that.

Actually yes they can after all they are the “streaming giant.” It can be some what hectic trying to keep up with all the series and programs going on, which is why I will be displaying all the shows that will be released this 2017 on Netflix in a guide list. These are the programs in which have their premiere dates already set. Enjoy!

Chef’s Table, season three – Friday, February 17

A docu-series that goes into the kitchen and personal lives of the best known international chefs.

Ultimate Beastmaster Friday, February 24

Produced by Sylvester Stallone. It is a reality competition show, which for the first time has gone internationally. Competitors from 6 different countries will come together to beat an obstacle course named, “The Beast.”

Love, season two – Friday, March 10

A romance comedy including Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust.

Marvel’s Iron Fist – Friday, March 17

Finn Jones plays a billionaire named Danny Rand who has been missing for years. He finally returns back to New York and begins fighting against criminals in order to keep the Big Apple safe.

Julie’s Greenroom – Friday, March 17

Julie Andrews presents an educational series in company with her “Greenies,” which are a cast of original puppets.

Grace and Frankie, season three – Friday, March 24

Another season of laughter will be coming soon and in this season Grace and Frankie will plunge into a new business investment. I guess you will have to wait to find out.

13 Reason Why – Friday, March 31

This Selena Gomez produced dramaturgy ensues what happens after teenager Clay Jensen returns home from school to discover a box of cassette tapes on his front porch. On each of the 13 tapes, his recently deceased classmate and crush Hannah Baker reveals the 13 reasons why she disturbingly took her life just weeks before.

Bill Nye Saves the World – Friday, April 21

Each episode Bill Nye will discuss myths and break down scientific theories.

Girlboss – Friday, April 21

Based Sophia Amoruso, who began her empire selling clothing on eBay in which led to a multi-million dollar business known as Nasty Gal.

Dear White People – Friday, April 28

This drama follows a group of Winchester University students of color as they journey through a diverse terrain of social injustice, cultural bias, political correctness and the sometimes misguided activism of the millennial generation. This show has recently been under controversy.

Sense8, season two – Friday, May 5

This sci-fi series starts from where it left off. The senseates are running from Whispers and leads them to question their very identity. They come in conflict try to learn how to live, protect and understand one another.

Anne – Friday, May 12

Based on a young orphan girl named Anne Shirley. The tale tells all about her struggles with identity, bullying, feminism, and prejudice. Along the way she fights to seek love and acceptance.

House of Cards, season five – Tuesday, May 30

Can you believe HoC is already beginning season five? Neither can I. This season the Underwood’s will be back for more villainous political manipulation. At least it will distract us from the current political affairs affecting us at the moment.

Orange Is the New Black, season five – Friday, June 9

Thats right everyone’s favorite prison is back. This season will pivot more out of control from the result of season four. I know you’re ready for it.

Stranger Things, season two – Tuesday, October 31

I know you must be thinking October is really far from now, but time passes by and at least we got a premiere date right? Not to mention its on Halloween… strange! Get yourselves ready to go to the Upside Down once more.

Remember I have only displayed the shows with premiere dates already set. We still have some of our favorite shows coming soon, which include Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Making a Murderer, Master of None, Lady Dynamite, Bloodline, Narcos and The Get Down.

  1. Yay I’m so looking forward to Frankie and Grace hilarious comedy Lilly Tomlin and Jane Fonda are too much!! Orange is the New Black left off with such a cliff hanger will Daya pull the trigger !!! I wish I had more time to sit and watch the new releases but that’s the great thing about Netflix… it’s ready when you are
